UNO Jazz Combo featured on the Jazz Education Network’s website

In January the UNO Jazz Combo under the direction of Darren Pettit performed at the Jazz Education Network (JEN) International Conference in New Orleans. The group was selected through an internationally competitive recorded audition process. It was the first time EVER that a UNO group was selected for this honor!

Part of their performance was a world premiere of a piece that JEN commissioned. JEN’s commission initiative provides JEN members with free music for download. The commission aspect of JEN receives a prominent place on their website and includes videos of the premier performances. For all of July and August the UNO Jazz Combo will be up on the JEN website in a prominent place with a link to the video of their New Orleans performance!     1. Hola Walter. No sabia que tenia afinidad por el jazz. Nosotros tenemos uno de los mejores programas de Jazz en el país y nuestros estudiantes están constantemente tocando y viajando. Cuando nos visite, incluiré en el itinerario un performance de jazz 🙂 Un abrazo. Washington
