The UNO piano studio has enjoyed an especially active and rewarding 2025–2026 performance season, with students sharing their music across a wide range of venues throughout the Omaha community and beyond.

During Fall 2025, our students performed at several notable locations, including Lauritzen Gardens, Gene Leahy Mall, the Durham Museum, Omaha South High School, Aksarben Senior Living, and Joslyn Castle. Each performance offered opportunities to connect with different audiences—from museum visitors and community members to high school students and senior living residents—reinforcing the important role music plays in bringing people together.
This spring, the momentum has continued. Our students presented an outreach concert attended by students from three Omaha-area high schools, creating meaningful connections between pre-collegiate and university musicians. Earlier in April, they performed for the Omaha Music Teachers Association at Schmitt Music, engaging with the broader community of music educators in the region. Members of the studio also performed at the Latvian Hall in Lincoln, highlighting repertoire connected to Baltic cultural traditions.
We are excited to continue this series of performances on Tuesday, April 21st, when members of the UNO piano studio will return to Joslyn Castle for an evening concert. Doors open at 6:00pm, with the performance beginning at 7:00pm. Admission is free, and all are welcome. This event is co-sponsored by the UNO Service Learning Academy, whose support helps make these performances possible.
We hope you will join us as we celebrate the continued artistry and engagement of our students.
