Stacie Haneline featured at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts

Stacie Haneline was the featured pianist for the Lied Center for Performing Arts special event, Broadway at the Lied. The Lied Center and ASCAP honored world-renowned Broadway composer and lyricist, Scott Frankel and Michale Korie. Musical numbers from Frankel and Korie’s most well known works included War Paint, Grey Gardens, and Happiness. Broadway legends Patti Lupone, Christine Ebersole, Joanna Gleason and Fred Applegate received rave reviews for their roles in Frankel and Korie’s musicals.
The Lied Center’s Gala also showcased music selections from Phantom of the Opera, Waitress and Beautiful, and the Carole King Musical.

The Lied Center and ASCAP’s 3 day workshop featured returning panelists include the co-creator of “Ice Age” and regular panelist for the Los Angeles ASCAP New Musicals Workshop, Kevin Bannerman, and actress, singer and Broadway legend Karen Morrow. Stephen Bray, best known as the composer and lyricist for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “The Color Purple” and for his many collaborations with Madonna, joined Bannerman and Morrow, lending his expertise to the selected emerging writers.
