The Symphonic Wind Ensemble embarked on a performance tour to Chicago during spring break in March.  The ensemble performed for 200 high school students at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, IA and performed at the Studebaker Theater in Chicago, IL as part of the Percy Grainger Wind Band Festival.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble also worked with Dr. Mallory Thompson from Northwestern University in a clinic as part of the tour.  Dr. Scott Shinbara, Percussion Area Coordinator, was a featured soloist.  The conductor of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble is Dr. Karen Fannin.
