Dr. Emily McIvor invited to perform in Germany

UNO’s clarinet professor, Dr. Emily McIvor, was invited to perform as a guest artist with the Saarburg International Chamber Music Festival in Saarburg, Germany, July 17-30, organized by Semyon Rozin and Andrew Campbell. She performed a total of ten chamber works with festival attendees and fellow faculty members in Saarburg, Irsch, Schmelz, and Orscholz, and assisted with ensemble coaching and rehearsals. Concerts took place in churches and outdoor amphitheaters as well as concert halls, and even in a former bell factory-turned-museum.

The Saarburg Festival draws high school and collegestudents from across the US, Europe, Asia, and South America; music faculty and guest artists reside in the US, Europe, and Asia.
