Dr. Derrick Fox conducts All-State Choir in Kansas

Dr. Derrick Fox, Director of Choral Activities at UNO, conducted the 2017 Kansas Music Educators Association Middle Level All State Choir. Hundreds of 7th – 9th graders around the state of Kansas auditioned for a coveted position in this all state ensemble. To be selected for membership in this choir is one of the highest musical honors for a junior high choral musician in Kansas. The choir rehearsed for one day in Wichita, Kansas before presenting a very well received performance on Friday, February 24th.
In addition to leading the all state choir, Dr. Fox presented a session entitled “The Choral Director as the Voice Teacher” as a part of the Kansas Music Educators Association Professional Development Conference.
