Dr. Derrick Fox, Director of Choral Activities at UNO, was honored to be invited as the guest conductor of the Arkansas All State Men’s choir. The invitation to conduct this group is a prestigious honor as this is the 50th anniversary of the Arkansas All State Choral Conference. To commemorate this event, the organization invited native Arkansans who have made significant strides in the choral profession to be their guest conductors.

Eight hundred students from around Arkansas auditioned for the all state choirs and four hundred were selected to be members of one of the three all state choirs. Being a member of the Arkansas All State Choirs is the highest honor a choral student can receive. The All State Men’s choir received high praise for the highly musical and energetic performance.
