On Saturday, September 7, UNO’s Stray Horn Brass Band participated in Omaha’s annual Cinco de Mayo parade. Omaha has hosted Cinco de Mayo events since the 1930’s. This parade is among the largest of it’s type in the Midwest and the Stray Horns enjoyed an audience that numbered well into the thousands. This performance was the result of a collaboration between the UNO School of Music and the Office of Academic and Student Affairs.
