Professor Hal France conducted Verdi’s Macbeth this summer at the Chautauqua Institute in Chautauqua, New York. This is a unique summer destination where the arts, politics, religion, and education come together in a beautiful environment. The performance involved an international cast, chorus of talented apprentice singers, and brilliant production of Director Jay Lesenger. “It was a pleasure working with the Chautauqua Orchestra which is comprised of seasoned players from orchestras and conservatories throughout America. It was also great to be able to walk down a quiet path to the Amphitheater and hear Charlie Rose, Bella Fleck, Rossen Millanov and Bishop Edward Braxton share ideas. Here is a review of our performance. http://chqdaily.com/2015/07/14/macbeth-dazzles-audiences-slays-apprehensions/“
