In a surprise presentation at Papillion Middle School, UNO alumnus Zac Konrad was named the 2027 Nebraska Teacher of the Year. With over 27,000 teachers in the state, this represents an amazing accomplishment and is the state’s highest honor for a classroom teacher. Zac earned both of his degrees from UNO, completing a Bachelor of Music Education in 2006 and a Master of Music Education in 2011.
