The Beard-Haneline Duo (comprised of UNO professors Dr. Christine Beard, flute and Stacie Haneline, piano) made their second consecutive appearance as headliner artists for the Puerto Rico Flute Symposium, held virtually in 2021.

The duo performed a featured recital entitled “Modern Musical Inspirations” with works by Exequiel Mantega, Mel Bonis, Samuel Zyman, Noelia Escalzo and Samuel Zyman, which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/WvLoj_Z0c9M. Additionally, Beard taught a flute masterclass to student participants from Canada and NY, and she was also featured on the penultimate night of the festival in a rebroadcast of celebrated Puerto Rican composer, Ernesto Cordero’s Concerto Boríken, which she performed in 2017 with the Orquestra Sinfonica de Porto Alegre in Brazil, which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/QBw2S6Oftp8 or at www.christiebeard.net.
