Student/faculty trio coach with Dr. Gregory T.S. Walker on his upcoming premiere

Jordan Willis, (MM violin performance X21), Trevor Petersen, (BM cello performance X22), and Dr. Mary Perkinson, Associate Professor of Violin and String Education perform Dreamwork for Dr. Gregory T.S. Walker in preparation for the work’s premiere on April 2. Join Dr. Walker, artist-in-residence, and UNO students and faculty as they present Powerful Perspectives, Music by Underrepresented Composers on 4/2 at 7pm. This recital was curated by graduate student Jordan Willis and represents a year’s worth of practice, research, and organization.

On 4/2 at 11am, Dr. Walker will give an artist talk, Appropriator or appropriated?  where he addresses the perspective of an African-American artist integrating historically European artistic languages.
