Seulji Kim wins 2020 Romantic Music Competition

UNO Bachelor of Music piano performance major Seulji Kim was named  First Place winner of the Senior Section of the Romantic Music Competition, sponsored by the Charleston International Music Competition.  

The 2020 Romantic Music Competition was open to singers, instrumentalists, and ensembles of all ages and nationalities. All musical instruments, including piano, string instruments, wind instruments, and percussion, and music pieces or movements from composers born in the period 1790 – 1920 were accepted.

Seulji Kim is currently studies piano with Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Last year, she won the second prize at American Protegé and had a winner’s recital at the Carnegie Hall. Most recently, she won the first prize at the Nebraska division of the Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Piano Competition.
