Piano performance major Tianyu Luo, student of Dr. Washington Garcia, has been named the winner of the 2020 Nebraska MTNA Competition – Young Artist Performance Division.

Tianyu will represent Nebraska in the division competition to be held in December.

The MTNA National Competitions are the most successful and prestigious student competitions in the country. Each year, thousands of students compete for top prizes and national recognition. The state competitions are considered the primary educational level with the division and national levels showcasing outstanding performance and honoring significant pedagogical achievement.
