Choral conducting graduate student Adam Witte writes the liner notes for a recently released album by Local Choral Ensemble

Résonance, Omaha’s premier semi-professional choral ensemble, released its first album in July. Choral conducting graduate student Adam Witte is the tenor section leader for Résonance and wrote the liner notes for the album; undergraduate music student Emily Johnson has also performed with the ensemble on several occasions. Titled “Pilgrimage,” the album features a cappella choral music ranging from pillars of the repertoire like Palestrina’s “Sicut cervus” to lesser-known gems like Herbert Howells’ Requiem.

The recording was released on the MSR Classics label and is available for purchase on the MSR website (, Résonance’s website (, Amazon, and iTunes; it is also available on all major music streaming services.

Adam is a graduate choral conducting major under the guidance of Dr. Derrick Fox.
