Résonance, Omaha’s premier semi-professional choral ensemble, released its first album in July. Choral conducting graduate student Adam Witte is the tenor section leader for Résonance and wrote the liner notes for the album; undergraduate music student Emily Johnson has also performed with the ensemble on several occasions. Titled “Pilgrimage,” the album features a cappella choral music ranging from pillars of the repertoire like Palestrina’s “Sicut cervus” to lesser-known gems like Herbert Howells’ Requiem.
The recording was released on the MSR Classics label and is available for purchase on the MSR website (www.msrcd.com/catalog), Résonance’s website (www.resonancevoices.org), Amazon, and iTunes; it is also available on all major music streaming services.
Adam is a graduate choral conducting major under the guidance of Dr. Derrick Fox.
