Twenty-five members of UNO’s Heartland Flute Choir enchanted the audience during their annual holiday concert on Tuesday, December 17. Held in the picturesque setting of the Holy Family Shrine in Gretna, NE, this was the group’s fifth appearance at the Shrine, for which the audience is always at standing-room-only capacity. A popular event for the HCFC, this annual Christmas concert is FREE but requires advance tickets in order to control crowds at the chapel. A non-auditioned ensemble of adult and student flutists from Nebraska and Iowa, the HCFC is celebrating their 17th season under the direction of Dr. Christine Beard.
