Dr. Christie Beard, Kayser Professor of Flute, and Dr. Washington Garcia, Director of the UNO School of Music, were featured in an article published by the “Mūzikas Saule” in Riga, Latvia as part of an interview discussing the training of musicians in the 21st century. Dr. Beard and Dr. Garcia performed, taught master classes and presented lectures at the Latvia Academy of Music as part of a partnership through the Erasmus+ initiative.
The article also featured Abra Bush from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and Wim Vos from the Rotterdam and Hague Conservatories.
