Each summer, choral directors from around the country gather in their respective states to read new music that has been published throughout the year. The sessions are led by a nationally renowned the clinicians and conductors who offer pedagogical tips for the implementation of the repertoire into the teachers daily rehearsals.
Dr. Derrick Fox, Director of Choral Activities at UNO School of Music, was engaged by J.W. Pepper, the largest sheet retailer in the world, to lead their New Sounds: New Music Reading Session in Overland Park, KS. and Bismarck, ND.
Dr. Fox was also tapped by the Hal Leonard Corporation, the largest sheet music publisher n the world, to lead the Florida Choral Panorama in Orlando. Featuring leading choral conductors since 1984, this two-day workshop of reading sessions and interest sessions have been provided for secondary and university music educators – showcasing the latest choral releases from numerous publishers across America.
