UNO’s Heartland Philharmonic Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra reached new heights at their performance on Tuesday, Dec. 4 showing off their growth both in terms of their size and mature sound. The concert included lesser known works paired with more standard, substantial works, concluding with Mendelssohn’s uplifting “Reformation” Symphony. Rising to the occasion, the UNO Orchestras represented the School of Music very well, making a strong impression on the audience at First United Methodist Church.
