Students from the UNO’s String Area with String Area Coordinator Dr. Mary Perkinson were invited to present at the American String Teachers National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on March 3, 2018.  Their presentation, Partners in Performance; supporting cultures of mentorship among middle school, high school, and college students,  is a culmination of their work over the past two and a half years with area schools and Omaha Area Youth Orchestras.

Additionally, UCRCA award recipients, Kyle Case, John Coate, Jordyn Irlmeier, and Yedid Maya were invited to present at UNO’s annual Creative Activity Fair on 3/2/18.  Students discussed their work with Partners in Performance, a service-learning component of UNO’s Heartland Philharmonic.
