Music Technology students receive recognitions

Daniel Faronbi was recently hired for a new position at Boys Town National Research Hospital as a Media Support Engineer where he assists UNO music tech alum Timothy Vallier.

Gabriel Bierman was awarded a FUSE Grant from the Office of Research and Creative Activity for his project researching binaural microphone techniques. This grant will fund the purchase of a microphone array that simulates the human ear. Gabriel Bierman’s faculty mentor is Dr. Seth Shafer.

Nick Palensky was awarded a FUSE Grant from the Office of Research and Creative Activity for his proposal to build and demonstrate a modular synthesizer. Nick Palensky’s faculty mentor is Dr. Seth Shafer.

Nick Spencer was awarded a FUSE Grant from the Office of Research and Creative Activity for his proposal to found a digital music ensemble at UNO. This grant will fund the purchase of several audio interfaces and controllers for performers to use in the soon-to-be-formed ensemble. Nick Spencer’s faculty mentor is Dr. Seth Shafer.

Connor Kirts was awarded a FUSE Grant from the Office of Research and Creative Activity to research multichannel audio systems and surround sound perception  This grant will fund the purchase of a multichannel audio system for the recording studio. Connor Kirts’ faculty mentor is Dr. Jeremy Baguyos.
