On June 8 the UNO Jazz Ensemble performed in Clarinda, Iowa for the 42nd annual Glenn Miller Festival sponsored by the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society. The ensemble received a standing ovation for their performance which consisted of big band classics, modern compositions and arrangements, and of course plenty of Glenn Miller! Other ensembles at the festival included professional bands from around the country and an ensemble from Japan. The UNO Jazz Ensemble was the only collegiate group invited to perform at the festival.
