UNO Professor of Flute, Dr. Christine Beard recently served as the guest artist for South Dakota State University’s Flute Day 2017, where she worked with over 80 middle school and high school student flutists as well as local band directors in a series of flute ensemble rehearsals and clinic sessions. The day concluded in a recital performance given by Beard and host flutist Dr. Tammy Yonce (SDSU), as well as the festival participants performing two flute choir works, conducted by Beard.
