On September 16, 2016 the Maverick Marching Band, under the direction of UNO’s Director of Athletic Bands Dr. Joshua Kearney, performed as a special guest for the Biannual Fundraiser supporting QLI, or Quality Living, Inc. Recently named by Metro Magazine as one of the best in Omaha, this fundraiser entitled “An Evening at the Fair” raised thousands dollars in support of young individuals suffering from traumatic brain and spinal chord injuries. The University of Nebraska at Omaha has a strong partnership with QLI that the bands are proud to support.
