On Tuesday, March 15, Kiara Walker performed for the Diversity Program at Western Hills Elementary School.  The program is an annual event at the school, designed to uphold and honor the ideals set for by Dr. Martin Luther King.    Ms. Walker, a sophomore  music education major opened the program by performing “Lift Every Voice and Sing“.  “This is the second year Kiara has performed for this event”, said Dr. Melissa Berke, Coordinator of Music Education.   “Participating in events at local schools is a great way for students to get a glimpse into their future careers as a music educators.”
