On October 30 and 31, five UNO voice majors traveled to the University of Nebraska Kearney to compete in the West Central Regional NATS Student Auditions. The competition consisted of three rounds: preliminary, semi-finals, and finals. Four UNO students advanced to the semi-final round and three to the final round.

In the final round, Roni Shelley Perez (BA in music performance) placed 1st in the lower collegiate women musical theatre category. Grace Kolbo (BM in music performance) placed 2nd in the junior women classical category, and Lindsey Ussery (BM in music education) placed 2nd in the upper collegiate musical theatre category.
