Sofia Cormack (BM flute performance from UNO, December 2021) was selected to serve as an intern for the Tampere Flute Festival in Finland to be held April 22-24, 2022. Sofia’s duties include creating and managing social media content for the upcoming hybrid festival, which will feature both in-person as well as online events. Selected through a competitive application process, she is part of a 5-member international internship team of flute students representing the Univ of Nebraska at Omaha, Oberlin Conservatory of Music (OH), Moscow State Univ (RUS), the Univ of Oxford (UK), and Nanjing Univ of the Arts (China).

Cormack has been awarded a UNO Regents Tuition Scholarship and will return to UNO to pursue a Master of Music degree in flute performance beginning in the Fall 2022. The UNO Flute Studio is excited to welcome her back!
