Jordyn Irlmeier, BA in Violin Performance, 2018, began teaching at Wayne State College in August of 2019. Ms. Irlmeier teaches Strings I and II, Music in Film, and private lessons for violin, viola, cello, and double bass. In addition, she recently founded the String Ensemble last semester. She notes “UNO prepared me to teach at Wayne in a number of ways. I learned what it meant and what it took to be a great musician, while giving me the confidence to perform and teach in a variety of settings and student levels. My instructors at UNO were amazing in helping me find my niche and pushing me to always strive for the better. I owe all of my accomplishments to them and I am grateful for the time I was able to study at UNO with such amazing musicians.” We are proud of Ms. Irlmeier’s accomplishments and look forward to sharing more about this Maverick alumna in the future!
