UNO Bachelor of Arts major Bryn Groenjes was named Third Place winner of the Junior Section of the Romantic Music Competition, sponsored by the Charleston International Music Competition.  

The 2020 Romantic Music Competition was open to singers, instrumentalists, and ensembles of all ages and nationalities. All musical instruments, including piano, string instruments, wind instruments, and percussion, and music pieces or movements from composers born in the period 1790 – 1920 were accepted.

Bryn Groenjes currently studies piano with Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Last year, she won Alternate in the Nebraska Music Teachers Association Collegiate level Performance Competition.
