The voice area will receive funding through the Service Learning Academy’s P-12 initiative for a project partnering Benson High Magnet School with students enrolled in Vocal Pedagogy next semester.

UNO students will have a practicum teaching experience by giving regular applied voice lessons online to Benson choral scholars. Special thanks goes to Mrs. Susanna Kearney for helping and allowing our UNO students to work with Benson. The bulk of the budget will go to support the purchase of quality microphones and adapters for the OPS students’ iPads, which are integral to this project to allow students to hear the subtle nuances of the singing voice.
