Oboist Christine Robino auditioned for the 43rd Army Band in Lincoln, Nebraska and accepted a spot with the unit in April. She traveled to basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri over the summer where she completed 10 weeks of physical training. Next summer she will spend 10 weeks in Virginia Beach, Virginia to complete her training at the Army School of Music. She is to play a live streamed Veteran’s Day concert with the band in November at the Lied Center in Lincoln.
