Katia (Agafonov) Hintz has been selected as the UNO School of Music Presser Scholar for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Presser Scholarship is the most prestigious award for an undergraduate student in the School of Music. The award is given to a music student at the end of the junior year and is selected by the School of Music Scholarship Committee. This national honor, which includes a cash award funded by the Presser Foundation, is intended to recognize meritorious achievement in music.

The Presser Foundation was established in 1939 under the Deeds of Trust and Will of the late Theodore Presser. It is one of the few private foundations in the United States dedicated solely to music education and music philanthropy. http://www.presserfoundation.org
