Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor, UNO Keyboard Area Coordinator, performed in concerts in Texas, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, and Tennessee. She has three different programs with which she is touring. One focuses on music from the five Nordic nations, concentrating on themes of nationalism and folk tunes. Another program includes music by Rameau, Grieg, Ravel, and Stanley, all composers which were influenced by the French Baroque. The third program is a lecture recital of solo piano music for right hand alone. In addition to her performances, she taught masterclasses to local students. Dr. Taylor will continue this tour in the spring, traveling to Chicago, New York, Toronto, Virginia, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and again in Colorado.
