Graduate student Michael Tyree brought together area musicians, including musicians from UNO’s Heartland Philharmonic Orchestra and the Nebraska Medical Orchestra, for a performance at Timothy Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs on October 28. Under his direction, the orchestra gave the Midwest premiere of two of his original compositions, “Agnus Dei” from Gloria (2017) with Sydney Tyree, mezzo-soprano, and Choose the Valley (2018) with the Timothy Lutheran Choir.

Michael is in his first year of the Master of Music in Conducting program studying with Dr. Matthew Brooks.
