In June, Jake Senff, a senior music education student in the UNO School of Music, participated in the Michigan State University Conducting Symposium. Jake was selected as one of eight for the Undergraduate Mentorship Program, which is designed to provide undergraduate participants the experience of conducting high-level players in chamber music masterworks. At the symposium, Jake worked with Dr. Kevin Sedatole, Director of Bands at MSU, and Craig Kirchhoff, Professor Emeritus from the University of Minnesota, in conducting masterclass settings throughout the week. Jake will student teach this fall.
