As the Assistant Music Director for the Nebraska High School Theater Academy, Professor Stacie Haneline worked with the outstanding performers chosen to compete for the Broadway League’s Jimmy Awards in NYC. She also had the honor of working with hundreds of students from across the state that were chosen as top performers to participate in the week-long intensive program. Also presented were outstanding musicals chosen as top productions across the state.
The Academy offers access to master classes and virtual workshops with Broadway artists, live theater experiences with tickets to touring Broadway shows, and professional feedback on school performances. The Academy also offers confidence-building through audition and performance opportunities and a chance to represent the state of Nebraska at the Broadway League’s Jimmy Awards in NYC. Hosted by Broadway star and Omaha native Q. Smith, Nebraska High School Theater Academy Showcase celebrated the achievements of the state’s musical theater programs.
