Each year, the Idaho Choral Directors Association holds a fall conference intended to provide professional development for teachers throughout the state. The organizations invites a nationally renowned choral conductor/teacher to lead pedagogy sessions and choral octavo readings sessions. Dr. Derrick Fox, Director of Choral Activities, was invited to headline the convention this year in October. He led sessions on rehearsal technique, middle school pedagogy and work/life balance for teachers. He also presided over reading sessions sponsored by Hal Leonard and Walton publishing companies.
