University of Nebraska Faculty Artist, Stacie Haneline, was invited as the guest master teacher for the Omaha Conservatory of Music Summer Institute. The two weeklong program for young musicians to immerse themselves in rigorous study of their instrument and make music with peers from across the country. Many wonderful students from around the country were eager to participate in solo piano, piano duos and ensemble playing with Professor Haneline.
Nationally recognized guest artists come to Omaha for the week to inspire, perform and teach. These are experts in the field who spend one-on-one time with students to hone their skills, develop their musicianship and mentor them through the challenges of becoming a high-level artist. Throughout the week, evening concerts are presented by the guest artists and culminate with a full day of student performances, featuring the participants in solo, small group and large ensemble concerts.
