Shelby VanNordstrand selected to receive Teaching Award

Professor Shelby VanNordstrand has been selected as the 2018 CFAM recipient of the UNO Alumni Teaching Award. This award will be presented at the Faculty Honors Convocation to be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:30pm in the Thompson Alumni Center.

29120_0122Professor VanNordstrand’s students have received a wide variety of recognitions at the state, regional, national, and international levels including prizes at the NATS auditions and the National Opera Scenes Competition in Santa Barbara, California. In addition to being featured in Omaha Magazine and the Omaha World Herald, Professor VanNordstrand’s students have received rave reviews for their performances.

Professor VanNordstrand is to be commended for her outstanding efforts in teaching and her commitment to UNO students.
