The 2017 Texas MS/JH All State Honor Choir, under the direction of Derrick Fox, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, performed as a part of the 2017 TCDA Convention held in San Antonio, Texas, July 20-22, 2017. This auditioned group was comprised of approximately 200 students. The 2.5 musical and fun filled days concluded with a concert performance on Saturday afternoon, July 22, for over 1,000 choral directors, families and guests. This was a once in a lifetime experience for the students, and an incredible opportunity to work with eminent teacher, Dr. Fox.

Dr. Fox’s future engagements include a solo performance of the oratorio Elijah with the University of Missouri-Columbia and conducting the SWACDA regional Men’s honor choir (with students from 7 states) and the National ACDA MS/JH honor choir.
