Dr. Derrick Fox, Director of Choral Activities at UNO, was honored to be invited as the guest conductor of the Colorado All State Mixed choir this past weekend. The invitation to conduct this groups is a prestigious honor as the conductor is usually chosen by a board of teachers from around the state who chose from a national selection of conductors.

Hundreds of student from around the state of Colorado go through a rigorous audition process to be chosen to sing in one of three All State ensembles. To be selected to sing in one of these groups is one of the highest honors for a high school junior or senior in Colorado. The Mixed choir rehearsed for 3 days in Denver, Colorado before presenting a very well received performance on Saturday, February 4th.
