On Saturday, December 3, 2016, the UNO choirs, under the direction of Dr. Derrick Fox, presented a magnificent Winter Celebration concert and collaboration with the Omaha Children’s Choir, under the direction of Amanda Stevenson. The concert featured a variety of musical genres, from gospel to traditional carols and even gave the audience a chance to join in the singing with the closing carol, “Deck the Hall”. One of the highlights of the concert was the joining together of the UNO Treble Chamber Ensemble and the OCC ensemble to present two pieces from Britten’s Ceremony of Carols. The beautiful musical collaboration coupled with the beautiful snowfall of the day made for an enjoyable evening.
