UNO’s Entertainment Drumline, The Herd, was invited by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to lead the athlete’s parade at the 2016 College World Series. Highlights included playing for the Fan Zone and interacting directly with the teams, especially UC Santa Barbara and Texas Tech University. The Herd was also featured in the NCAA’s official parade video, which was broadcast to over 150,000 people. The Herd may become a permanent member of the parade in the years to come.
