Four students from the UNO School of Music were selected to the 2016 College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) North Central Division Intercollegiate Band. Brandon Brown, tuba; Carlyn Hendler, flute; Alex Lunardi, clarinet, and Katie Thompson, horn will join students from around the Midwest for rehearsals and a concert on Saturday, February 27. Held at Iowa State University in Ames, IA, the intercollegiate band will meet in conjunction with the CBDNA North Central Division conference. The conductor for the intercollegiate band will be Eugene Corporon from the University of North Texas, and students will have the opportunity to premiere a new work by composer Michael Daugherty.
