Professor Jeremy Baguyos’ work selected for New York’s Electroacoustic Festival

laptopWhackJeremy Baguyos, Associate Professor in both the CFAM and IS&T colleges, had his granular synthesis work, Chindogu, selected for the 2015 New York City Electroacoustic Festival. Chindogu was diffused in June of 2015 at the Abrons Arts Center Playhouse in New York City. The summer of 2015 marks his 20th anniversary as a member of the Des Moines Metro Opera Summer Music Festival Orchestra, the last fifteen years as the principal double bassist. This fall, he will fly to Paris, France to deliver a paper presentation on computer music performance at Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM) at the TCPM 2015 Conference. The conference is co-sponsored by both IRCAM and L’université Paris-Sorbonne.
