Natalie Malcom wins Ediger Collegiate Award

Natalie Malcom, a BM Music Education major with a piano concentration, was named the recipient of the Thomas Ediger Collegiate Award from the Nebraska Music Teachers Association (NMTA).  Natalie is a student of Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor.

NMTA has honored Dr. Thomas Ediger by establishing scholarships to be awarded annually through the funds he so generously left to NMTA. These one-time, $1000 scholarships recognize the musical study, musical achievement, musical contributions, and good citizenship of students studying with a current member of NMTA.

Nebraska Music Teachers Association is an organization of nearly 300 musicians dedicated to a practical role of artistic service in today’s society. NMTA provides cultural leadership through a wide variety of activities for its members and their students. It promotes high professional standards in music and fulfills its responsibility to artistic and educational leadership in the state.
