The Global Flute Excellence “Flute Advocate” Award recognizes individuals and organizations whose work extends beyond personal achievement to serve the wider flute community through visibility, access, preservation, education, and social responsibility. Advocacy in the flute world takes many forms — from cultural preservation and education to community building, historical remembrance, and social engagement. The following are the 2025 Flute Advocate Award finalists, whose work extends far beyond individual achievement to serve the global flute community with vision, responsibility, and lasting impact:

Together, the 2025 Flute Advocate Award nominees demonstrate that advocacy is not singular in form. It may emerge through:

▪︎ the creation of enduring artistic resources.

Each finalist embodies advocacy as service to the flute community beyond the self, reinforcing the flute’s role as an instrument of meaning, memory, and connection. The international judging panel now has access to the candidates’ full materials and detailed documentation for review and evaluation, with the final results to be announced on January 10, 2026.
