Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor, Associate Professor of Piano at UNO, has earned national recognition as the 2025 winner of The American Prize in Piano Performance in the Professional Solo Division. This prestigious award honors her compelling performance of Sonata No. 2 by Omaha-based composer Bryan Stanley, showcasing both her artistry and commitment to championing contemporary works.

The recording was a proud collaborative effort with Wyndhem Ennaemba, Music Production Manager at the UNO School of Music, who expertly recorded, edited, and mastered the performance. Captured on the UNO campus in the beautiful Strauss Performing Arts Recital Hall, the project reflects the School’s dedication to excellence in both performance and production.
