The Whole Musician team returns for a 3rd retreat hosted by UNO this weekend, February 14 and 15, 2025. Private lessons and individual coaching sessions are available to all UNO students who want to focus on mindfulness, physical fitness, life coaching, marketing strategies, musicianship, managing stage fright, career coaching, and more. Group classes for yoga, meditation, and communicating with confidence, as well as a performance masterclass and an Open Mic Night are also open to the public. Contact Dr. Christine Beard at cbeard@unomaha.edu to inquire about scheduling individual sessions or for more information!
The Whole Musician concept was born from lengthy and deep discussions about how the music field is constantly changing and how music education and artistry need to continue to evolve in order to craft fulfilling musical experiences in the twenty-first century. The WM team members are passionate about their art, their pedagogy, and the team concept. Through exploration of our music, body, and mind, the WM team empowers performers of all genres to realize their full artistic power and expression.
The Whole Musician faculty bring specialized certifications (life coaching, meditation, career development, physical training, and yoga) to bear in relevant and sustainable workshop experiences. The WM team is comprised of Megan Lanz, DMA; Rik Noyce, DMA; Meg Griffith, DMA; Christopher Lee, LTCL; and Christine Beard, DMA.
