UNO BA Music Studies piano student Natalie McNamara was chosen to receive the Nebraska Music Teachers Association (NMTA) Thomas Ediger Collegiate Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding performance, essay, musical activities and achievements, and contributions to her school and community.  Natalie studies piano with Dr. Kristin Jonina Taylor, UNO Associate Professor of Piano.

The Nebraska Music Teachers Association offers $1000 scholarships recognizing the musical study, musical achievement, musical contributions, and good citizenship of a college student who is currently a music major at a college or university in Nebraska. NMTA honored Dr. Thomas Ediger by establishing two scholarships (one collegiate, one pre-collegiate) to be awarded annually through the funds he so generously left to NMTA.
